  7.    networks and their coverage. This bulletin is not intended to be a
  8.    tutorial on these various networks, but rather a brief summary of each.

  13.       Usenet offers a traditional set of "newsgroups" or topics which are
  14.       carried by most UUNET sites around the world.

  17.    UUNET ALTERNATE topics

  19.       These news groups often have restricted spheres of interest, high
  20.       volume or a different set of administrative rules.  They are available
  21.       through UUNET but are not carried by all sites.
